nothing to see here Dawnspire - Staircase of the Goddess
Though once the throne of a world-spanning empire, the Spire is seen more as a prison of sorts in modern times. The elgfreyn empire is a limping thing, rarely extending outside of the Spire's massive walls, save to the small harbor city of Seahold. A highly militaristic theocracy, a single ruler typically acts as king or queen of the Spire and is aided, enforced, or even disposed of by the many men and women that make up its military and guard. As of the past three hundred years, much has change but more still has remained the same.

nothing to see here Lystad - The Frozen Fortress
Carved from a glacier, the city of Lystad is one of constant change and remarkable beauty. A city of secrets, seldom are outsiders allowed beyond the markets and merchant quarters. These depths are the realm of Marianna, a cruel and unforgiving ruler, and her army of spies and informants. Lystad is a realm of inventors, of magnificent creation and unimaginable wonder, of oppression and terror at the hands of a queen whose heart is as frozen as the city itself. Hope remains amongst the people, those that remember a time before this terrible regime, that long for salvation, for like the constantly shifting ice from which the city is carved, nothing in Lystad remains the same for long.

nothing to see here Westgate - Wall of the World
Built from the remnants of an abandoned expedition to mine a path through the mountains themselves, the people of Westgate are stoic and self-sufficient. Very little fazes these mountain folk, living largely in voluntary isolation from the rest of the Amarantine Coast. A bastion of honor and traditional skill, Westgate bears the revolutionaries little love though pays gruff lip service on bent knee, while some dream that Behar might again take the Coast and do away with the mysterious scourge of iskra and its unrivaled power.

nothing to see here Udara - The Gull's Nest
In a massive crater that opens to the sea lies Udara. The city, newly independent after a bloody war, is the Amarantine Coasts' center of trade and culture. Beneath the Gull's banner lies layer upon layer of metropolitan sprawl. The Udarans do not tear down and replace, they simply build on top of the old, as the wealthy crawl ever upward to seek the sun, and the less fortunate are buried beneath progress. The King of Udara is just, though people question his true power over the organized crime and trade guilds that arguably control the city themselves.

nothing to see here Vesna - City of Neverdark
Known as the cultural hotspot of the Amarantine Coast, Vesna is home to the perfect storm of creative output and cultural blending. Hosting a highly diverse population, as well as ventures such as the the esteemed Inventor's Guild of the New Masuraq quarter, the city of Neverdark's creative market is vast and enviable.

nothing to see here Freehold - No Man's Land
The vast southern forests are known as the Freehold and border Vesna and Mother Lake and host the largest mixed population while being largely anti-government. A veritable den of thieves and criminals, the Freehold is looked upon with both fear and mockery as the divides between the major mobs are considered too great for them to pose much of a major threat. Dominated and split between several quarrelsome mobs, the Freehold is often torn by civil war of sorts, playing stage to various shows of power.
